Piedmont Re-brand
Project: Re-branding the college to university | Deliverables: Logos, brand guide, signage, wayfinding, stationary, and promo materials | Completion Date: April 2021
This project was completed in partnership with Regina McCormick, Director of Marketing for Recruitment and Retention at Piedmont College (University) & Student Assistant, Jenna Wendel (Graphic Design ‘21). I was invited to be a key designer in this project by the Department of Marketing and Communications. Regina McCormick and I researched and created new branding and logos to inform over 1000 other logos that needed to be redesigned with the new brand in mind. Together we designed the primary and alternate logos for both the Demorest and the Athens campuses, logo templates for the schools and colleges, the new seal, the brand guide, signage, wayfinding, stationary, and promo materials. Our student assistant, Jenna Wendel developed the Spirit Branding and, using templates, meticulously recreated all necessary college, school, and departmental logos. We presented our designs to several student committees, the communications and marketing committee, and alumni committees before presenting to the President and the upper administration and then final approval from the board.
In Fall 2021 UCDA awarded us a Design Excellence Award for the Piedmont University Logo
